a difference a year makes
In the final regular season game the Purple Knights
faced a strong Southampton University at home. One year
ago, almost to the day, UB played Southampton at their
home in Long Island, N.Y., and lost 4-1. This game depicted
a new team and a new era for the Knights. At halftime,
the game was tied 1-1 in a hard fought battle by both
teams. However, the office, as the team likes to call
the field, became too much for the winning team. The
crowd got into it and the team performed fantastically
on the field.

The end result of the game became 5-1 and the celebration
at the end of the game lasted for what seemed to be
a lifetime. This insured a conference championship and
a possible bid to the NCAA playoffs.
