The University officially opened four new computer labs at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, November 17. UB alumnus John Fabrizi, '91, who is also the President of Bridgeport's City Council, joined with University President Neil Salonen and several Sun Microsystems executives to dedicate the labs. Three of the new labs are located at the main campus in Bridgeport and one lab containing 20 computers is located at the UB Stamford campus.

Photo: James R. S. HattThe University of Bridgeport conferred an Honorary Doctorate degree upon James R. S. Hatt, the former President and CEO of Metromedia International Telecommunications. The ceremony took place on Friday, November 3, at 5:00 PM in the Tower Room of the Arnold Bernhard Center. President Salonen presided over the ceremony which drew about 100 students and guests.
