t the dawn of the new millennium, the Journal of Business Ethics, the premier journal for Business Ethics professors, published its 1,500th article. In honor of this achievement, the journal editors requested UB's Associate Professor of Management Denis Collins to synthesize and critique all of these articles. Denis has served on the boards of governance of several Business Ethics organizations and journals. The finished product, "The Quest to Improve the Human Condition: The First 1,500 Articles Published in Journal of Business Ethics", appears in the July 2000 issue of Journal of Business Ethics, volume 26, issue 1, page 1-73. The article provides an extensive research agenda for the field of business ethics. Some of Denis' findings were recently reported in the April 22, 2000 The Economist in an article called "Business Ethics: Doing Well By Doing Good."
