A law enacted by the State of Connecticut mandates that all college students must be informed of Hepatitis B infection and its devastating consequences. All Physician Assistant students are required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B or provide serologic evidence of immunity. College students are at an increased risk of developing a Hepatitis B infection. All students are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B, which is administered as a series of three (3) injections over a six-month period. Refer to the Hepatitis B fact sheet (PDF).
If you qualify for a medical or religious exemption to the immunization requirements, please fill out the Medical or Religious Exemption form (PDF).
Thank you for your attention to this matter and please accept our best wishes for a healthy and happy educational experience at the University of Bridgeport.
