  • Television (each room is equipped with basic cable)

  • Broom/Dust Pan

Prohibited Items

Should any item listed below be found in the residence hall, the item will be immediately confiscated by university staff and the student may face disciplinary action including, but not limited to, fines and/or removal from university housing. The Office of Residential Life and Student Conduct reserves the right to alter this list at any point in time to include additional items not allowed in the residence halls due to safety concerns.

  • Extra Microwaves or Refrigerators (each room is provided with a Microfridge unit)
  • Cooking units, pressure cookers or hot plates with exposed heating elements
  • Wireless Routers
  • Cinder blocks/Bed-lifts/Lofting Supplies
  • Christmas Trees or cut plants larger than three feet
  • String lights (i.e. Christmas lights)
  • Toaster/Toaster-Ovens
  • Candles, oil lamps, lava lamps, incense (anything that burns)
  • Electric blankets/Electric heaters
  • Large stereo systems/speakers
  • Halogen or Touchier Lamps
  • Pets (except fish)
  • Octopus-like electrical cord arrangements/Multiple Outlet Plugs/Non-UL Approved appliances
  • Immersion coils of any type
  • Air conditioners

  • Furniture not issued by college (i.e. couches, tables, etc)
  • Explosives of any kind: Gasoline, kerosene, lighter fluid, or other flammable liquids
  • Motorcycles, motor scooters, or other gas-powered motors
  • Guns, firearms, or replicas thereof, fireworks, explosives, and weapons of all types, including, but not limited to: pellet guns, BB guns, paint ball guns, cross bows, bows and arrows, spear guns, hunting knives, fighting knives, butterfly knives, throwing knives, knives longer than four inches, slingshots, clubs, brass knuckles, ice picks, and straight razors, etc.
  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Potentially hazardous quantities of Biological or Chemical agents
  • Stolen property of any kind
