Community Service
Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, enjoyable experience. It
is truly gratifying to serve a cause, practice one’s ideals, work with
people, solve problems, see benefits, and know one had a hand in them.
~Harriet Naylor
We Need You!
You have talents and skills that others would really appreciate. Let
us help you put them to good work – literally. The office of Campus
Activities and Community Service serves as a catalyst for students,
staff, faculty, and administrators to connect with, build, and sustain
meaningful service initiatives in the greater Bridgeport area. Make a
difference in the world! Community Service comes in all different
styles and sizes at UB. Are you concerned about the environment? Do you
like working with children? We have the opportunity that matches your
preferences. Meet people just like you while you contribute to
something greater than yourself. You will find that giving is the best
reward. * Help someone in need * Motivate others * Devote time,
energy, and skills * Broaden your horizons * Gain important life
experience * Meet new people
* HAVE FUN!
Whether you’re an individual, part of a student group or residence
hall, someone who wishes to contribute to a particular project
periodically, or someone who would like to initiate their own project
in the community, the office of Campus Activities and Community Service
can help. The Campus Activities and Community Service office is located in
the John J. Cox Student Center, Room 232B or please feel free to
contact us at 203-576-4274 or communityservice@bridgeport.edu.
