The University of Bridgeport is proud to offer Greek Letter Organizations as part of its vibrant student life on campus. Choosing membership in a fraternity or sorority not only enriches your collegiate experience and helps you connect to campus, but it is also a bond which lasts a lifetime. Greek organizations, while each unique, all have similar core values including academic excellence, leadership, personal growth, service to others, as well as brotherhood and sisterhood.
We currently have 5 active Greek organizations on campus at UB as well as the Greek Council which governs and supports the fraternities and sororities. Greek organizations host a variety of events on campus including educational workshops, cultural events, performances, and community service activities. Please read below for more information about each chapter and for contact information to address any questions.
Greek Council Mission Statement
The Greek council is the self-governing body of the social, undergraduate/graduate Greek community at The University of Bridgeport. Its purpose is to provide informational resources to the undergraduate/graduate men and women through internal communication of the services, programs and operations of the undergraduate/graduate social Greek letter fraternities/sororities at The University Of Bridgeport.
As the governing body of the Greek council at the University Of Bridgeport, we are committed to the following goals:
- To make our organizations the model student organizations at The University Of Bridgeport, and
- To be leaders in addressing the problems facing the University community and in serving the needs of the Bridgeport community, and
- To foster friendship in an atmosphere that values the ideas and worth of every person while not excluding any qualified student, and
- To educate our members in citizenship and social skills necessary to succeed in life.
This vision will direct us in our role as a leader among student organizations at our campus and commit us to strive to achieve our goals.
