Take Back the Night (TBTN) is an interactive program where students gather in a Safe Place setting to learn about sexual assault prevention and response on campus. Sexual assault or abuse affects at least 1 in every 3 women worldwide (Reference: Takebackthenight.org). Less than 50% of these crimes are reported. The purpose of this event is to create a community that promotes awareness, respect, and promotes safety on our campus. The following are just some of the areas and departments that are helping to coordinate this effort: Student Health Services, Counseling Services, Residential Life and Judicial Affairs, Title IX Coordinator, The Center for Women and Families, Campus Activities and Civic Engagement, and Athletics.
