UB Presents "The Good Lie" Film Screening

Join us for a pre-show reception and benefit film screening of "The Good Lie" on April 2 to help support Humanity Helping Sudan. Following the film, UB Alumnus Ger Duany will be available for a Q&A session with the audience about his personal experience as a Lost Boy of Sudan and the filming of his touching story.

All net proceeds will be given to the Humanity Helping Sudan project. Learn more at www.humanityhelpingsudanproject.org

Comedian Henry Phillips

On April 4th at 8:00 P.M. Henry Phillips will be performing at the Bijou Theatre in downtown Bridgeport. He has been seen and heard performing on 'Comedy Central Presents', ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' as well as satellite and radio nationwide. His critically acclaimed albums have earned him mention in Billboard magazine's 'Critic's Choice' as well as acclaim from notable artists such as Moby, who refers to Phillips' as "disconcertingly funny".

The Student Government Association is accepting applications for new members for the 2015-2016 academic term. If you are interested, you may pick up an application in room 117 of the Student Center. 7:00 - 10:00 P.M. The Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. will be hosting an AIDs Awareness Workshop in the Great Room where professionals will speak about personal safety along with general information about AIDS and AIDS awareness. 

7:00 - 8:15 P.M. Join the Monday Yoga class in the Commuter Lounge.

12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Enjoy healthy meals in the Twisted Cafe (Student Center basement). All options are under $5.00. 

12:15 - 1:30 Come join Yoga with the Wellness Club in the Commuter Lounge.

7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Seniors! Come to True Life - Life After UB in the Chaffee Hall Lobby, where there will be a discussion about getting a successful closure at UB and how to stay connected as an Alumni. 

7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Come to the Twisted Cafe in the Student Center for Open Mic Night to see the talent on campus.

7:30 - 9:30 P.M. Join the members of the Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. to learn the art of strolling and dust in the Great Room.

8:15 - 9:30 P.M. Join the Student Government Association in the Social Room for an academic gathering on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment. This discussion will include conversation on women leadership opportunities and awareness on gender inequality and women empowerment on behalf of Women's History Month.

Wednesday, Arpil 1

10:00 - 2:00 P.M. Come to the Student Health Services where you can get a free, confidential and convenient STD and HIV test

4:00 P.M. Come support the Women's Lacrosse team as they play against LIU Post at Knights Field.

4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Come to room 213/215 of the Student Center for an Easter Egg Hunt. The team who wins the hunt will receive a prize. Courteousy of the Student Programming Board.

7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Join the members of the Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. in The Three Faces of the Latino Man, where they will discuss what a Latino really is.

7:22 - 10:00 P.M. Come to, "Meet the Sisters", an ice cream social in the Great Room where you can meet the ladies of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

7:30 P.M. Come to the Wheeler Rec. Center and join the Global Affairs Society for their Dodgeball Tournament. Registration will start at 7:30 P.M. and the games will start at 8:30 P.M. Registration will be $5.00 per person, with a minimum team of six people.

8:30 - 10:00 P.M. Come to the Mirror Room in the ABC building to join a Zumba Dancing Class hosted by the Student Programming Board.

Thursday, April 2

12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Enjoy healthy meals in the Twisted Cafe (Student Center Basement). All options are under $5.00.

4:30 - 6:00 P.M. Come to the Schelfhaudt Gallery in the ABC Building for, "Connecticut's Slave Ships: An 18th Century investigation" with Anne Farrow, the next in UB's acclaimed Necessary Voices series sponsored by the English Department.

7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Join the members of the Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. for their Dance Workshop where students can learn how to dance to Merengue, Salsa and Bachata in the Great Room. 

7:30 - 10:00 Come listen to the larger than life comedian Chloe Hillard in the Social Room. Chloe made her national TV debut on NBC's smash hit "Last Comic Standing" and her apperance on AXSTV's "Gotham Comedy Live". 

Friday, April 3

1:00 - 5:00 P.M The VITA Program will be helping international students file tax returns in the Private Dining Room of the Student Center

6:00 - 8:30 P.M. Join the men of the Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. in room 213/215 of the Student Center where instructors from UB's own martial art department will be teaching the Art of Tae Kwon Do. 

7:00 - 9:30 P.M. Come to Room 218 of Mandeville Hall for Bible study in Mandarin.

8:00 - 10:00 P.M. Come to Mertens Theatre to view various dance teams perform, organized by FLOH - the Future Leaders of Hip Hop. 

Saturday, April 4

12:00 P.M. Come support the Women's Lacrosse team as they play against Post at Knights Field.

8:30 - 10:30 P.M. Come to Marina Park Circle  to watch the future members of the Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. present what they have learned on what it takes to be a member of the sorority. 

Sunday, April 5

7:00 - 10:00 P.M. come to the Commuter Lounge for a night of Hindu Prayers and Dinner.
