Adjunct Instructor in Biology
The College of Arts and Science at the University of Bridgeport invites applications for an adjunct position in Biology for the fall 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to teach non majors and pre-science courses at an undergraduate level such as Humans and the Environment and Biology First Year Seminar.
Preference will given to applicants who can serve as a coordinator for these courses.
- Successful candidates should have earned a Master’s degree or higher in Biology or related field prior to the start of employment in order to be considered
- Expertise in scientific pedagogy, including active learning, project based earning, classroom technologies, and inclusive teaching practices are required.
- Teaching experience in General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Environmental Science are all desirable. Demonstrated research background preferred.
- Available to teach daytime class in fall 2017 semester; classes begin the week of August 28th
