| The
International College of the University of Bridgeport is unique because of the
diversity of its students. It is not at all unusual to find oneself in a class
of twelve students where the United States, Nepal, China, Nicaragua, Japan, Nigeria,
Armenia, and Bulgaria are all represented. At the University of Bridgeport it
is not at all unusual to say that the classroom itself is "an experience in globalization." Recent
graduates of the International College have been awarded fellowships to the Maxwell
School, Harvard, NYU and Johns Hopkins. Meet some of our current students:

grew up in Japan, California, and Costa Rica. He speaks English, Japanese, and
Spanish. A World Religions major, he has a particular interest in promoting inter-religious

intent of fostering such exchange. Jory's years that he has spent overseas have
allowed him to develop a refined, cosmopolitan outlook on life as well as the
disposition needed to bridge cultures and viewpoints beyond his own. He is active
at the University with the Latin American Club. He is considering graduate study
in Religion or possibly Law.
