Dr. Selig came to the University of Bridgeport in 2002 into the School of Business. In 2005, he was promoted to the Director of Technology Management Department in the School of Engineering. In 2011, he was instrumental in setting up the CTech IncUBator at UB. In 2012, he was promoted to Associate Dean, Business Development for the Graduate Studies Division, and developed a proposal to offer a Ph.D. in Technology Management that commenced as a degree program in Fall 2014. In 2015, Dr. Selig was promoted to Dean of Industry Outreach.
Dr. Selig has been very active in multiple committees both in the School of Business and the School of Engineering. He has written 5 books and over 50 puplished articles and/or conference proceedings.

The award has been utilized to develop courses via the Center for Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship and Innovation (CEII) at the University of Bridgeport. The CEII serves the entrepreneurial business, technology, and corporate venturing (intrapreneurship) community as a resource in facilitating the development of new products, services, businesses and practices through innovative education, research, and university/industry/government partnership and collaboration programs.
