Grants are a form of financial assistance based on financial
need that one does not need to repay. For grant considerations at the
University of Bridgeport, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)* to determine eligibility.
Student Loans is money borrowed that must be repaid. To apply for most student loans, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)* to determine eligibility.

To apply for Federal Direct Stafford loans all NEW students must complete Master Promissory Note * and Entrance Counseling *
To apply for a
Private Alternative Loan
* we recommend you look at several options as interest and fees vary
with each lender. All students who borrow with an alternative loan
program MUST complete a
Private Education Loan Applicant Self-Certification Form
and submit this form to his/her lender in order for the alternative
loan to be complete and disburse. In order to complete this form, you
will need to reference our Tuition and Fees brochure.
