How Do I Get My Refund
My Purple Knight Card
The University is making it quicker and easier for students to receive their refunds.
UB's Higher One Partner
University
of Bridgeport has partnered with Higher One, a financial services
company focused solely on higher education, to offer faster delivery of
refunds to students. All refunds are processed by Higher One.
The University will not issue refund
checks, so you must use you card to access the Higher One website and
choose an option for receiving any refund due to
you.
How Do I Use My Card?
The
my Purple Knight Card with the MasterCard logo will provide you with
two options on how to receive their refunds. The options are Easy
Refund to the OneAccount or ACH transfer (direct deposit) to the
student’s personal bank account.
This
card is required for selection of a refund preference. To avoid delay
in receiving any money due you, access the Higher One website at
www.mypurpleknightcard.com
and use your 16-digit card number to activate your refund status with
Higher One. Even if you do not receive financial aid, you may be
eligible to receive a refund from the University. Keep your my Purple
Knight Card in safe place in case you need to access future funds owned
to you.
When Do I Get My Card?
You
will receive a my Purple Knight Card shortly after you register for
classes in your first semester at UB. The card will be mailed to your
current address on file with the University. If your initial card is
mailed to the wrong address, please contact the Office of Student
Financial Services. Once you activate your card and select a
preference, any subsequent address change will need to be made both
with UB and Higher One.
If you're not
sure that UB has your current mailing address, please take a moment to
visit
WebAdvisor.
If the address is incorrect, email the Registrar's office (for domestic
students),
or the International Student Services office or visit its
ISS
UB
portal page (for international students) to update your address. Your
new my Purple Knight Card will be mailed to your current address on
file with the University.
We
encourage students to visit
