Who can answer my questions about bills and payments?
For all questions regarding bills, payments, or financial aid, please call 203-576-4568, or email bursar@bridgeport.edu. Bursar Office late hours are now available Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

If all lines are busy, you may leave a voice message including your name, student I.D. or social security number and a phone where you can be reached. All calls are returned within 24 hours.

How are students billed for courses?
A billing statement is mailed prior to the start of classes each semester.

When/how does my student pay for books?
Please note, financial aid disbursement dates may not correspond to your needs to purchase books and supplies. All students, including Financial Aid recipients, must be prepared to pay for their textbooks and course materials at the time of purchase. Please refer to the Student Aid Award Guide of your Financial Aid Award Letter to clarify the dates of financial aid disbursements.

Books and course materials may be purchased at the University’s Bookstore and online through Ambassador Bookstores. Ambassador Bookstores maintains a current list of UB’s courses and the books/materials required for those classes. Click here to obtain additional information about UB’s bookstore.

How do I pay for tuition and fees?
Click here for information about UB’s payment methods.

What if my student hasn’t received notice of his/her financial aid award?
If your student has applied for financial aid, but has not received official notification of an award in time to be eligible for a financial aid deferment, you must choose one of the other payment methods: cash, check, money order, credit card, or enroll in TMS Monthly Plan.

What if I enroll in the TMS monthly payment plan and then my student receives financial aid?
When your financial aid is disbursed, it will be applied to your current balance. You may contact the Student Financial Services Office at 203-576-4568, to have your payment plan or payments adjusted or canceled. If the application of your financial aid results in a credit balance, excess funds will be mailed to you within 14 days of application.

If I call the office and request a refund, how long will it take to process?
A refund request is promptly requested and made available usually within three business days. Refunds by mail will take slightly more time.

If my student is eligible for the Health Insurance Waiver, where can I obtain a form?
The Health Insurance Waiver Form may be obtained by contacting Student Health Services.
