Interior Design Program ::
U.B. offers a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design. Our degree program prepares graduates with the required experience for the N.C.I.D.Q. examination and Connecticut state licensing.

Interior Design Curriculum ::
Preview your course of study as a UB Design Interior Design major. We run on a two-semester year, from September to early May.

Role of the Interior Designer ::
The Interior Designer is involved in a variety of projects ranging from residential to commercial projects such as corporate offices, hotels, healthcare and retail; focusing on interior space planning and architectural detailing, in addition to specifying furnishings, materials and finishes.
Interior Design Program Focus ::
The Interior Design program at UB puts emphasis on the following:
- Methods for gathering design information, and problem solving on a range of actual projects residential and non-residential.
- Technical skills to express design solutions, using traditional sketching/drafting in addition to computer aided design (AUTOCAD) and 3D simulation computer programs.
- Develop the knowledge of interior architecture substructures for the proper use of materials and their installation methods.
- Studios such as furniture design are held in collaboration with UB Industrial Design department executing actual working models.
- Seminars and lectures by visiting local and international faculty and professionals.
- Provide interior design services; this allows the placement of students at all levels to gain on the job experience.
