My name is Karin Ente and I am the New York State admissions counselor here at the University of Bridgeport. I grew up in Fairfield, CT and spent a lot of my time in and around the Bridgeport area. As a child I was involved in the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras, attended Bluefish baseball games, sailed out of Captain’s Cove Marina, and rode the Port Jefferson Fairy to Long Island. I was first introduced to the University of Bridgeport while in High School. As a gymnast we used the facilities in Wheeler Recreation Center as our home gym. I was delighted when I was given the opportunity to return and work for the University in the summer of 2009. As alumni I hope that you have as many fond memories of Bridgeport as I do, and I look forward to hearing about your experience. By becoming an alumni volunteer you would be able to share your experiences, while helping to recruit and welcome future Purple Knights into our community.

As the head of the alumni volunteers, I am here to answer any admissions related questions and/or ideas; to offer recruitment/volunteer assistance; to discuss thoughts on the University of Bridgeport’s recruitment events or thoughts related to Bridgeport’s campus environment; or even if you just want to reach out and say hello! You can reach me by phone at (203) 576-4038 or e-mail at kente@bridgeport.edu. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
