U.B.C.C. receives approximately 150 applications for the Fall semester and approximately 90 for the Spring semester.
How many students are admitted? How many are in the program right now?
U.B.C.C. now admits approximately 48-students in August for the Fall semester and 25 students in January for the Spring semester. There are a little over 200 students in the program right now.
How competitive are the grades of a successful applicant?
The average grade point average of an accepted student is 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
The average science grade point average of an accepted student is 2.90 on a 4.00 scale.
What is the educational background of a successful applicant?
83% of new students have completed a baccalaureate degree.

Many are second career students who are coming back to school after many years.

Most of our students come from the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut region, but we have students from around the globe.
35% are female.

What are the entrance requirements?
All candidates for admissions have completed a minimum of 90 semester credit hours from an accredited institution. Please refer to the catalog for details.
What is the cost/length of the Doctor of Chiropractic program?
Visit Tuition and Financial Aid for full costs. The program is eight semesters in length which takes four academic years to complete. The program is offered full time only and classes do not meet in the summer.
Why does the chiropractic college run on a semester schedule?
Chiropractic college curricula have become increasingly intense over the past ten years.
The 18-week semester allows greater retention of the material, which will become very
important to the student when it comes time to take National Board Exams.
Students may use the free time in the summer to work and save money, vacation with
family and friends, study for boards, or participate in research projects.
