The UB Writers and Critics Series "Science and Poetry"

On March 22, 2012 Laura Manueldis spoke on "Poetry and Science".

Laura Manuelidis is known for her iconoclastic theory about the causes of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and has been a physician and neuropathologist at the Yale School of Medicine for over thirty years.

But Laura has been a poet all her life. Before medical school, she earned a B.A. in English at Sarah Lawrence. She spoke about the joyous intersections between science and poetry and read from her recent and published poetry (Out of Order 2007).
