Dr. Selig came to the University of Bridgeport in 2002 into the School of Business. In 2005, he was promoted to the Director of Technology Management Department in the School of Engineering. In 2011, he was instrumental in setting up the CTech IncUBator at UB. In 2012, he was promoted to Associate Dean, Business Development for the Graduate Studies Division, and developed a proposal to offer a Ph.D. in Technology Management that commenced as a degree program in Fall 2014. In 2015, Dr. Selig was promoted to Dean of Industry Outreach.

Dr. Selig has been very active in multiple committees both in the School of Business and the School of Engineering. He has written 5 books and over 50 published articles and/or conference proceedings.

Assisted with NCIAA Grant, $35,000

CTNEXT higher education fund grant request for proposal was submitted on Oct. 20, 2017 to establish an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional network of small, medium and large institutions consisting of select private and public colleges and universities for improving entrepreneurship and innovation collaboration amongst partner institutions to facilitate the growth of new business/technical ventures in Connecticut for a $360,000 grant which would be matched by CTNEXT for a three year total grant of $720,000.
