The Ernest C. Trefz School of Business is where theory and practice come together for student success. We deliver relevant undergraduate and graduate programs designed to prepare students for professional careers in a global business environment in which they can thrive in their respective fields. Our graduates are employed by organizations that range from large multinational corporations to new ventures.
As Dean of the Trefz School of Business, I invite you to explore our programs and school. Here you’ll find that we are a dynamic school that is continuously improving to meet the changing needs of business education.
Our programs include traditional offerings such as accounting, finance, human resources, international business, management, and marketing as well as contemporary programs in analytics intelligence and entrepreneurship, and a special accounting graduate program designed to prepare students for CPA and CMA licensure. In addition, we partner with other schools within UB such as the School of Engineering, the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design, and the College of Public and International Affairs, to provide a variety of interdisciplinary educational opportunities to our students.
Our programs are delivered in a flexible format, including day, evening, weekend, and online classes, in order to best meet the needs of our working students. In fact, students may earn their MBA in management, human resources management, or analytics intelligence completely online.
We have impressive faulty, most of whom hold terminal degrees in their field and have an average of almost 20 years of business work experience each. The faculty are engaged in a wide variety of academic and professional activities and are committed to student success.
I invite you to review our business programs and hope to see you soon.
