Frederick J. Harmon was born and raised in New Haven Connecticut before moving to Staten Island New York at the age of 13. He lived in New York for over 30 years and went to college in the Bronx at Manhattan College. Harmon also spent two semesters overseas in Freiburg, Germany where he studied economics before going to the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as an analyst with the Social Security Administration and later worked at Xerox Corporation, Verizon Corporation and United Illuminating Company. I am a certified public accountant, licensed in New York and Connecticut. He has taught accounting, finance, and economics courses at the University of Bridgeport, Southern Connecticut State University, Post University, University of Hartford, and Albertus Magnus College. Harmon has his own accounting practice and is married with two children.
