Biography
Anton Miglo is an Associate Professor of economics and finance at the School of Business at the University of Bridgeport. Previously, he was an assistant professor in the department of economics at the University of Guelph. Professor Miglo has authored 15 academic publications, three book chapters, and numerous conference proceedings. His recent publications appear in Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economics and Business, Manchester School and Journal of Economics. Professor Miglo's areas of expertise include corporate finance, business economics, capital structure management and economics of contracts and information. He obtained his Ph.D. with excellence in financial economics from the University of Quebec in Montreal. During his studies he was awarded a prestigous scholarship from the Canadian Council of Social Science Research. Professor Miglo provides consulting services to individuals and business in the area of capital structure and liabilites management. He is married and has a son. Professor Miglo is the advisor of the University of Bridgeport Chessclub. He is also supervises University of Bridgeport teams in prestigous Federal Reserve College Competition and CME Commodities Derivatives Trading Challenge. In 2011 his team finished 8th nationally among 169 teams.
