Biography
Joanna graduated from New York University with her AS Degree in 2002. While working full time as a clinical dental hygienist, she continued her education by attaining her BSDH from SUNY Farmingdale and continued on, earning a MA with a concentration in Community Health Education and Planning from StonyBrook University.
Joanna has been a faculty member at the Fones School since 2007 and serves as Community Public Health Supervisor in addition to teaching Public Health, Oral Anatomy, Embryology/Histoloy and Coordinates Community Outreach rotations for sec0nd year senior students. Past positions include dental radiology instructor, dental materials lab instructor and has served as a Thesis Committee member.
Joanna's University activities include representation on the Faculty Council, Senate and Executive Senate Board. Professional affiliations include membership of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Connecticut Dental Hygienists’ Association and currently serves as President of the Bridgeport Dental Hygienists’ Association.
