UB MBA Students Place First in Connecticut Stock Market Game

Teams from the Business English class finished first and second out of 14 teams in the post-secondary division of the Connecticut Stock Market Game which ran from February 11 through April 19. 

Here are the final standings:

Team ZZ235, Ran WANG and Xianyi ZHANG, finished with $104, 970.52 in the ten-week competition, and outperformed the S+P 500 by 2.46%.  Their strategy involved buying stocks (long) and selling other stocks (short) to take advantage of the market fluctuations. 

Team ZZ242, Yukun LIU, Ziyue HONG, Okiaki Nakayama, Lizhao LI, and Liang JIA finished with an impressive $103, 031.73,  outperforming the S+P 500 by 0.52%.  Their strategy involved buying and holding blue chip stocks such as Aetna and Home Depot.
