Check out the following scholarship programs available only for University of Bridgeport students.

South Korea

Hanyang University International Summer School (HISS)
Seoul, South Korea

Full scholarships for UB students are available. UB’s partnership with Hanyang University makes it possible for a number of students to study on full scholarships or reduced tuition during the intensive summer program.

In this 4-week program, students can take up to three courses for a total of nine semester credits. There are a wide-range of courses from fields including Korean Studies, Humanities, Business, Economics, International Relations, Media and Communication, Design, Science, and Engineering.  Students can also experience aspects of Korean culture by participating in various field trips, excursions and cultural programs that are included in the summer session. Every year HISS is becoming increasingly popular among students visiting Korea.

South Korea

Korean Language and Culture Studies at Sun Moon University
Cheonan/Asan, South Korea

Full scholarships for UB students are available. UB’s partnership with Sun Moon University makes it possible for a number of students to study Korean language and culture for a semester or academic year.

Sun Moon University is famous for being the most globalized campus among over 200 universities in Korea. They are recognized as one of the best Korean language institutions throughout Korea and abroad. Sun Moon provides Korean language education and opportunities to experience Korean culture to enhance the students’ immersion program. Select university courses are offered in English.

Costa Rica

Independent Immersion Program in Costa Rica
Puntarenas, Costa Rica

UB staff and faculty have carved out a unique opportunity specifically for our students. Spend time working and learning about rural sustainable development by living with indigenous peoples in a self-sufficient and environmentally sustainable coffee community known as ASOPROLA (Association of Organic Producer, La Amistad). Dates are flexible in accordance with the students’ schedule.

Jordan

Independent Summer Immersion Program in Jordan
Amman, Jordan

Working together with the Education Abroad Resource Center, students embark on an annual summer internship and immersion experience customized for their needs.
