Theresa Horvath joined the Physician Assistant Institute in 2016. She has held a number of leadership positions within the physician assistant profession. She has 18 years’ experience in PA education at the program director level, serving most recently as the Assistant Dean and Program Director at the CUNY School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. Prior to this post, Ms. Horvath held academic appointments at Hofstra University, Mercy College, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and the State University of New York Health Science Center. Her professional appointments include roles as an HRSA grant reviewer; US HHS National Advisory Council of the National Health Service Corp; a Director-at-Large for the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA); and a site visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).
