Carrie A. Picardi, Ph.D. is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with over 17 years of experience in field settings, in a variety of Human Resources positions and as an organizational research analyst and consultant.
As a Human Resources practitioner, Dr. Picardi led initiatives in the areas of selection, job analysis and design, training and development, compensation benchmarking, performance management, employee relations, management coaching, and team building. As a research analyst, she provided consulting support to clients on organizational development initiatives, with projects spanning myriad needs such as talent management, employee engagement and retention, learning and development, management coaching, compensation strategy, and technology/systems decisions.
In her current academic role, Dr. Picardi’s focus is on course development and instruction in undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Organizational Behavior, Leadership Strategy, Business Ethics, Human Resource Management, Workforce Assessment, Group Dynamics, and Consumer Behavior. She continues to conduct research studies in the areas of performance management, organizational culture and ethics, and has presented her research at conferences and meetings globally.
In addition, Dr. Picardi collaborates with global organizations on consulting projects and is the author of the textbook, Research Methods: Designing and Conducting Research with a Real-world Focus (Sage Publications, October 2013).
