The University of Bridgeport has methodically been transforming itself into a university-based Center of Excellence in integrative, complementary and wellness-based healthcare through its Division of Health Sciences and the UB Clinics.
Fostering Collaborative Care
The formation of the College of Naturopathic Medicine in the 1990’s represented a return of naturopathic medical education to the east coast of the United States for the first time in many decades.
Many of our health science students also take advantage of our innovative dual degree programs, enabling them to integrate their multiple professional skills and offer their future patients a broader range of healthcare services.
Our health sciences alumni include prominent physicians and health care providers throughout the nation, including many at top-tier academic medical centers such as New York University, Vanderbilt University, Yale University, and Johns Hopkins University.
Changing the Future of Healthcare
The vision of collaborative care at UB is benefiting patients as the University of Bridgeport health science students work within the hospital systems we have fostered relationships with both locally and regionally, and they ultimately bring this message worldwide as these professionals graduate and take this approach to patients care with them as they enter professional practice.
At UB we are changing the future of healthcare on practitioner at a time.
The UB Clinics: Regionally Known and Respected
The UB Clinics, located within the Health Sciences Center on campus, are becoming known regionally as the place to come for evaluation and treatment for a broad range of problems from an interdisciplinary perspective within a facility that includes chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and dental hygiene services.
The UB Clinics provide valuable healthcare services to upwards of 20,000 patients in the southern Connecticut region annually, including those who are uninsured and underinsured.
In 2010, UB Clinics provided patient treatment and other health services valued at over $1.5 million to the public.

We need your help to continue our mission and goal of a truly changed health care system with options in healthcare for all, no matter what their economic resources may be.
The best way you can do this, and also help naturopathic medicine thrive on the east coast, is to partner with us and generously donate to the construction of the new Center for Naturopathic Medicine at the UB Clinics.
