Dental Hygiene Graduate Degree (M.S.)

The M.S. degree in dental hygiene program prepares dental hygienists for leadership roles in education, administration, public health, and dental hygiene practice.

The dental hygiene curriculum is offered to students as an online program or as a campus program and is designed for students to gain theory and practical experience.

Whether students attend full or part time, emphasis is placed on students gaining experience and confidence to assume positions designated for graduate degree employment. Faculty are carefully selected based on their expertise in each facet of the curriculum.

A master's degree in dental hygiene offers multiple career opportunities in a variety of settings. The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) acknowledges that a Master’s degree enhances the hygienist’s ability to succeed in professional areas such as:

  • Education
  • Research
  • Administration/Management
  • Public Health Dental Hygiene
