Curriculum and Program Requirements

University of Bridgeport’s Master of Business Administration program is a 54 credit program in which you will complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of graduate level work.    

Core Courses:
(*up to 24 credits)
ACCT 600: Financial Accounting
BLAW 600: Legal Environment of Business and Ethics
ECON 600: Economics
FIN 600: Financial Management
ITKM 600: Information Systems and Technology
MGMT 600: Leadership and Management
MKTG 600: Marketing
STAT 600: Statistics and Quantitative Analysis

Major Courses:
(18 credits)
An MBA student may select from eight majors. Each major requires six advanced level courses.

Capstone Requirements:
(12 credits)
MKTG 610: Business Research
MGMT 797: Integration and Application – Strategy
MGMT 781: Integration and Application – Business Simulation and Planning

MGMT 799: Integration and Application – Internship
or:
MGMT 798: Integration and Application – Thesis

 

*Course Waivers:
Each of the core courses may be waived if you completed at least 6 credits of undergraduate coursework in each subject area with a grade of B or higher and can demonstrate current knowledge of the subject.  During your first semester you will be offered a brief quiz to earn each course waiver.  If all core courses are waived, you can complete the M.B.A. program in 30 credits.
