Specialized Business

The Specialized Business MBA is based on the understanding that careers in business do not always fall strictly into the major categories traditionally taught in business schools. In addition to requiring knowledge and skills related to the core disciplines, the Specialized Business MBA seeks to provide the maximum flexibility in customizing study for specific career niches.

Required (0 credits)

Elective (18 credits) – Choose six courses from any discipline.

Courses are chosen in consultation with the faculty advisor and with the permission of the Assistant Dean. A student is required to submit a statement regarding their career plans and outline the sequence of courses that fit their career plans. The faculty advisor must approve of the submitted career plan. If a student’s choice of courses fulfills the requirements of any other major, the student will be awarded the MBA in that major. All courses chosen must fulfill the prerequisite requirements.
