
Jim Fitzpatrick is the clinic director of the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute. A 2002 graduate of Mercy College’s Oriental Medicine Master’s Program, Jim has experience in both private practice and hospital-based acupuncture. In 2003, Jim worked as a post-graduate assistant of Mercy College’s program, administrating and organizing aspects of Mercy’s clinical program at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York. Following that, Jim worked at Silver Hill Hospital, a psychiatric and drug detox center in New Canaan, Connecticut. Jim has also had private practices in Fairfield and Ridgefield, Conn.
As clinic director, Jim has focused on developing a patient-friendly clinic that also creates fundamentally sound, prepared Acupuncturists. Jim’s interests within the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute are developing professional, high-level clinical research projects that demonstrate acupuncture’s efficacy and developing clinicians that incorporate body-work and energy-work into their acupuncture skill set.
