Overview
English Language Institute offers Advanced Business English Communications (ESL 300), designed as an introduction to business concepts for first semester international students entering the university’s Masters in Business Administration (MBA) program.
Course Description
This course is designed to help business (MBA) students feel comfortable with the English language used to participate in business courses and communication. Through a review of “real world” grammar, vocabulary, slang, writing and reading, students will be able to succeed in graduate level business studies while also gaining job-related skills. Students participate in various state-wide business competitions to foster teamwork and business acumen.
Requirements
International MBA students are required to enroll in ESL 300 during their first semester of the MBA program. Students in ELI Levels 5 or 6 who are accepted MBA students may enroll at the same time as their ELI studies.
This is not a full-time program. Students on F1 visas must be enrolled in a full time program such as ELI or MBA. Students who are citizens, permanent residents, or on visas that allow part time studies may register for this course as a special or part time student.
