Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The B.S. in Business Administration, offered through the IDEAL program and the School of Business, meets the same high standards of the traditional Bachelor's program with the added benefit of accelerated courses. The business administration major provides breadth in all areas of business; accounting, computer applications and information systems, economics, finance, management, and marketing. The business courses are designed with an emphasis on real-world practice and academic theory. Case study work is used frequently to give students a way to measure success of implementing their learning. The Business Administration degree provides highly motivated students an advanced standing into UB’s MBA program.

Degree Requirements Summary

  1. Business Administration Program Requirements (48 credits)
    Select courses in Accounting, Finance, Law, Management, Marketing, and Statistics.
  2. Business Program Electives (15 credits)
    Focus your area of study by choosing specific elective courses.
  3. University Core Curriculum (45 credits)
    Includes courses in Communications, Economics, English, Fine Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences.
  4. General Electives (12 credits)
    Select courses that supplement your area of study or special interest.

Transfer Options

A maximum of 66 credits may be transferred in from an accredited two-year school and 90 credits from an accredited four-year school.
