What are the benefits to taking UB’s online, postgraduate Nutrition and Exercise course?

Expected Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this course students are expected to be able to:

  1. Use critical thinking to evaluate, reevaluate and construct a comprehensive program for a client – food, supplementation, lifestyle recommendations, exercise and follow-up processes
  2. Learn proper record keeping methods on client’s progress
  3. Learn population-specific knowledge of exercise principles
  4. Understand the relationship between exercise, health, and disease
  5. Review biochemistry of energy transfer, particularly the lactic acid system and the aerobic systems, in how exercise affects these systems
  6. Through the use of critical evaluation, understand and decide on menu plans, nutritional supplements, caloric intake, and how they affect exercise performance and recovery for different, specific populations
