Dental Hygiene Anesthesia Course
October 21, 22 and 23, 2016
This course is designed to prepare the dental hygienist in the State of Connecticut to administer local anesthesia. The participant will be introduced to safe and effective administration of local anesthesia through lecture, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Course Content includes:
- Rationale for pain management
- Client management
- Medical emergencies and review of essential anatomy
- Pharmacology of pain control agents
In addition, the participant will perform efficient techniques of pain management through local anesthesia on clinical partners under the supervision of qualified faculty.
This course is designed to prepare the dental hygienist in the State of Connecticut to administer local anesthesia.
Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will receive a Certificate of Local Anesthesia acceptable in the State of Connecticut. It is the participant’s responsibility to investigate the portability of this course to another state’s licensing board as individual state rules and regulations change periodically.

28 Hours Total: 20 Hours Didactic: (8 hours of study prior to course, 12 hours onsite) and 8 Hours Clinical. Participants will receive 20 hours of CE credit acceptable in the State of Connecticut.

Day One: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Day Two: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Day Three: 8 a.m. -12 p.m.
