Part-Time Dental Clinic Administrator, Fones School of Dental Hygiene

The Dental Clinic Administrator, Fones School of Dental Hygiene, is a part-time, 10-14 hour/week, 8 month/per year job-share position.  The selected candidate will conduct the day to day operations of the Fones School of Dental Hygiene.


  • Maintain equipment in clinic, radiology, and dental materials labs, including:
    • Weekly cleaning of sterilizers
    • Weekly biological monitoring of sterilizers
    • Maintenance of Hydrim
    • Maintenance of AT2000 developer
    • Manage daily laundry
    • Monitor need for equipment repairs
    • Oversee functional operation of clinic operatories
    • Oversee operation of clinic computers
    • Oversee functions of Patterson Eaglesoft and Dexis technology
  • Monitor infection control of students within the workday setting
  • Provide student instruction and assistance in the operation of clinical administrative functions
  • Evaluate students assigned to clinic management
  • Maintain equipment maintenance, repair, and quality assurance logs
  • Maintain MSDS sheets
  • Assist with researching prices for clinical supplies
  • Assist with tracking and producing purchase orders
  • Maintain dispensary inventory and purchasing requirements
  • Communicate with Program Director, Clinical Coordinators, and Clinical Services Administrator
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Dental hygienist or Certified Dental Assistant, with at least 2 years experience working in a dental office
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Patterson Eaglesoft, Dexis digital technology and the Digidoc systems is preferred
